Narrow Bridge Sign

This sign is often found before a narrow bridge.

What it means

This sign alerts drivers that an upcoming bridge may be too narrow to meet or pass a truck and that they should be careful. It looks very similar to the road narrows sign, but indicates that the bridge ahead is more narrow than the road the driver is currently on. Bridges are typically more narrow because the shoulders are narrowed or eliminated. When drivers are crossing a narrow bridge they should slow down and watch out for oncoming traffic.

Heads Up

This sign means that there is a narrow bridge or overpass ahead. Room for two lanes of traffic but potentially dangerous. Slow down and watch out for oncoming vehicles.
Avoid completely stopping your vehicle on a bridge.
Some narrow bridge signs have black line icons to indicate the bridge narrowing while others have words that say "NARROW BRIDGE".
