Overview

AABC Driving School is one of Wisconsin's oldest and most trusted driving schools. Founded in 1971, it originally operated locations in both Green Bay and Racine. Tom LaPlante joined the school as an instructor in 1987 after recovering from a motorcycle accident caused by a drunk driver. In 1989, Howard LaPlante purchased the Green Bay school and Tom became general manager. Drawing on Howard’s background as an accident investigator and Tom’s firsthand understanding of the consequences of drunk driving, they brought their personal stories into the classroom and behind-the-wheel training. A few years later, AABC opened a new location on the west side of Green Bay at 712 Gray Street to better serve students from the north and west.
