Drive To Work

Mission Drive-To-Work helps low-income and previously incarcerated individuals restore their driving privileges so they can commute to work and keep a job. Recognizing that a valid driver’s license is essential for many careers, we provide legal guidance and related support services. Drive-To-Work is the only organization in Virginia dedicated to solving this challenge. Strategies We carry out our mission through three core services: - One-on-one client support to help individuals navigate the license restoration process - Driver education programs, including improvement clinics and exam preparation courses - "How to Get Your License Back" seminars and presentations tailored for re-entry programs Advocacy Drive-To-Work actively advocates for legislative changes that improve licensing opportunities for suspended drivers. Our organization is widely recognized across Virginia for its expertise and leadership in policy reform related to driver’s licenses. Annual Second Chance Luncheon Since 2013, Drive-To-Work has hosted the Second Chance Community Luncheon. This annual event brings together legal and government professionals to better understand the challenges faced by unlicensed drivers, meet successful clients, and celebrate our organization’s progress in fulfilling our mission.
