CDS Tractor Trailer Training

Since 1999, CDS Tractor Trailer Training has prepared professional truck drivers across the country. With four training centers throughout Virginia, we are the region’s fastest-growing driver school and provide CDL instruction for ten Virginia Community Colleges. Our program delivers high-quality, affordable training that sets graduates up for success, which is why local, regional, and national trucking companies actively recruit our alumni. Training begins in the classroom, where students learn equipment fundamentals, road rules, state and federal regulations, and proper vehicle inspection procedures. This foundational coursework covers the essential knowledge needed to become a licensed commercial driver and prepares students for state licensing exams. After completing classroom instruction, students take the CDL permit test, a written exam administered by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
