Overview
Founded in 2004 by a veteran police officer with over 25 years of law enforcement experience, I Drive Smart began in Maryland with five cars and 12 part-time instructors. Today, we operate a highly visible fleet of yellow cars and employ more than 140 dedicated instructors. Thousands of students across Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and California are proud I Drive Smart graduates.
We believe that "teaching and mentoring new drivers is a responsibility and partnership shared by parents, their community, and I Drive Smart." Over 75,000 client families trust our program and agree that no other driver education experience matches the guidance provided by our highly qualified instructors.
