Driver Rehabilitation Center of Excellence

Josh is a Marine who was severely injured by an IED during his deployment in Operation Enduring Freedom. His injuries resulted in quadriplegia (paralysis from the chest down). After years of recovery and rehabilitation, Josh explored his options for returning to the road. Multiple therapists evaluated him and confirmed he was capable of driving, yet none could provide the hands-on training needed for him to drive independently. Finally, he connected with Major Tammy Phipps at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
