Kevin Gahart is the owner and chief instructor at Old Town Driving School. After his own three teens went through behind‑the‑wheel training, he grew frustrated with the quality of instruction they received from both private and public schools. He saw too much emphasis on getting a license quickly and not enough on truly preparing students to drive safely. Those safety concerns, along with rigid scheduling and inconvenient locations, convinced him there was a better way. In 2013, he opened Old Town Driving School to deliver professional, conscientious, and flexible instruction. Since then, over 1,000 families have trusted him to teach their students. We never hire an instructor simply to fill a spot—we look for the best, most qualified people who will take excellent care of your student. It’s not easy to find these special individuals. They need to relate to teenagers, keep a calm temperament, be professional yet entertaining, and, most importantly, teach each person at their own level.
