Overview
Benavides Driving School is licensed and bonded by the state of Texas. All of our courses are approved by the Texas Education Agency, the Department of Public Safety, and TCADA. Founded in April 1975 by the late Pedro “Pete” Benavides, the school began with just one driving instructor (Pete himself), a single classroom instructor, and one vehicle. Pete was committed to being the best at his work, and he was. He never gave up on a student, no matter the challenge, and took genuine joy in watching them pass their written or driving tests—those moments were unforgettable. Still family owned and operated after more than 42 years, we continue Pete’s belief that with patience and encouragement, anyone can learn to drive at B.D.S. Through our teen, adult, and defensive driving courses, we remain dedicated to producing safe, responsible drivers.
