Texas R.I.D.E.R.

Texas R.I.D.E.R. was the first independent organization to provide motorcycle operator training in Texas. Since 1989, we have been teaching riders safe handling techniques through Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) certified programs. Approved and contracted by the Texas Department of Public Safety, we offer reasonably priced, conveniently scheduled Basic and Experienced Rider Courses. Successfully completing the Basic Rider Course waives the riding portion of the DPS licensing exam for adults 18 and older. We train riders on all motorcycle types, including scooters, sport bikes, cruisers, dual-purpose, and touring models. Our weekly classes equip you with the skills needed for safe and enjoyable riding. For experienced motorcyclists, our Experienced Rider Course refines your techniques and provides a controlled environment to practice riding with a passenger. We also offer private lessons, one-on-one remedial training, and can arrange customized Basic or Experienced courses for groups and organizations. Law enforcement personnel can earn TCLEOSE credit, with 16 hours available for the Basic Rider Course and 8 hours for the Experienced Rider Course.
