That’s the kind of excitement Dawn Stokes envisioned when she founded Texas Driving Experience—an organization built on safe, educational fun. A lifelong auto enthusiast, Stokes had attended high-performance driving schools and learned advanced car control from professional drivers. She decided to bring those same skills to the most at-risk group on the road: teenagers. In March 2003, she launched SKILLS, LLC, a hands-on program giving young drivers real-world behind-the-wheel experience to navigate today’s dangerous roads. As SKILLS grew, Stokes saw the opportunity to reach an even wider audience. Drawing on 18 years as a corporate executive and her passion for driver education, she created Texas Driving Experience—offering cutting-edge programs for businesses and individuals. With a fleet of Millennium Yellow Z06 Corvettes, we provide extreme racecar rides and drives, corporate team-building events, fleet safety training, and the SKILLS for Life Teen School. Since then, Texas Driving Experience has educated thousands of drivers and served companies like Frito Lay, Chesapeake, IBM, Microsoft, UPS, Centex Construction, and Capital One. Today, we remain just as passionate about creating safer, more confident drivers—one exhilarating experience at a time.
