Trans American Tech Institute

Since 1988, Trans American Technical Institute, Incorporated has trained professional tractor-trailer drivers at our Fleetville facility, located at Route 107 near I-81 Exit 202. Our comprehensive program covers the essential, up-to-date material needed to successfully complete a high-quality driver training course. The curriculum incorporates the latest Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) standards, using the Professional Truck Driver Handbook, instructional videos, and the official Pennsylvania DOT CDL manual. Trans American Technical Institute is also a certified Third-Party Tester for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Our program emphasizes hands-on experience, and our instructors provide individualized support to any student who needs extra guidance. We supply all necessary training equipment, including driving simulators and a diverse fleet of 5-, 7-, 8-, 9-, and 10-speed tractors paired with flatbed, dump, lowboy, and van trailers in various lengths. All training takes place on our 75-acre campus in Lackawanna County, which features three dedicated office, classroom, and maintenance buildings. Upon graduation, students receive a diploma and are fully prepared to begin their careers. We assist with job placement, connecting graduates with full-time driving positions at local and national freight carriers. Recruiters from major trucking companies visit our school regularly. Graduates will also earn a Pennsylvania Class A Commercial Driver’s License with all required endorsements.
