Overview

Licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education since 1969, Rogers School of Driving has been the trusted choice for driver education in the Greater Pittsburgh area. We offer both the certified classroom theory and behind-the-wheel phases of the state-approved program. When teenage students complete each phase, they earn certificates that may qualify them for insurance discounts and full driving privileges at age 17½. But our core mission goes beyond licensing—we’re dedicated to developing competent, safe, defensive drivers. Over the years, we’ve taught defensive driving techniques to thousands of teens and adults, and have delivered Pennsylvania’s approved driver education curriculum to dozens of public and private schools. Our team undergoes rigorous, ongoing background checks, including FBI, Child Abuse, and State Police clearances, along with full driving record reviews. Most instructors hold teaching or graduate degrees. With over 50 years of service, our reputation is unmatched, built on generations of families who trust us with their driving education. Since 2016, we’ve been a PennDOT-certified third-party driving test provider. More than 2,500 students have successfully taken their driving tests here. In addition to our core programs, we provide driver evaluation and improvement services for corporations, government agencies, nonprofits, and medical patients.
