Overview
Oklahoma Driving School has been training confident drivers since 1992, making us one of the state’s oldest driving academies. Owned and operated by Robert and Jeanie Cole, we proudly serve the greater Tulsa area and are affiliated with the Professional Driving School Association of Oklahoma and the Driving School Association of the Americas.
Our team includes twelve professionally trained, state-certified driving instructors and a full-time office staff dedicated to supporting you. As a full-service school, we offer Driver Education for teens and adults, private behind-the-wheel instruction, specialized programs for drivers with physical challenges or special needs, drive evaluations and assessments, and defensive driving courses. Driver Education and defensive driving classes run every weekend, with additional sessions scheduled during school breaks, throughout the summer, and on select evenings.

Training Programs

Driver Education
10 hour classroom / 6 hours behind the wheel. The Oklahoma Driving School’s Driver Education program emphasizes the State of Oklahoma’s requirement of ten hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind-the-wheel driving. The classroom portion prepares each student for the written permit test and is given every weekend. During Fall, Winter, and Spring Breaks, and during the Summer, extra mid-week classes are held for your convenience. The one-on-one driving may be scheduled to meet the student’s needs only after the classroom instruction has been completed. For the driving portion only, the student will be picked up at home or school if they live in the Tulsa metro area. Finally, each student will receive defensive driving instruction and therefore, will receive a certificate ensuring an insurance discount for three years.

Adult and International Driver Education Program
Designed for students who do not have anyone to practice driving with. Program includes 10 Hours of Driver Education Classroom Hours to prepare for the Permit Test(as explained above) 10 Hours of Behind the Wheel driving instruction in hourly increments Valet Service for class and drive times A Preparation Drive Assessment for the Drive test A Drive Test at Oklahoma Driving School

Drive Test
Prep Drive with Drive Test & Car Rental at Oklahoma Driving School Meet at the Oklahoma Driving School and prepare for the driving test for 60 minutes, then test at our facility on the same or another day. Requirements Applicant shall have passed the vision test and been issued an Oklahoma learner permit and held the permit for the required length of time.

Practice Drive and then Drive Test at Dept. of Public Safety
Allow approximately two hours for the Road test and feel assured that our car will pass the examiner's inspection. In advance, call our office to schedule your Road test. On the day of the Road Test, our instructor will pick up the student and allow the student to drive to the Dept. of Public safety, giving him or her instruction along the way. We will wait for the student to complete the road test and then we will return them to their pickup location.
