Ruth's Driving Academy

Hello and welcome to Ruth’s Driving Academy! I truly care about teaching and mentoring both teenagers and adults. With over 30 years of combined experience—working with youth through Scouting, coaching, driving a school bus, and teaching driver’s education, along with roles in the private sector—I bring a solid foundation to your learning journey. Dedication and a passion for excellence set the standard in my classroom. Early on, I learned one of the most powerful lessons about teaching: help students learn without them even realizing they’re being taught. This approach has proven incredibly effective, both in the classroom and behind the wheel. I hold several instructor certifications from the Ohio Department of Public Safety, including Training Manager. I’ve also had the privilege of assisting with continuing education for other Training Managers across Ohio, and some of the research studies I’ve conducted are now used statewide.
