Overview

Jeff Caldwell recently retired after a 30-year career in law enforcement, where he spent most of his time in a motorcycle traffic enforcement unit. A certified traffic crash reconstructionist, he specialized in investigating fatal traffic collisions and is a graduate of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Emergency Vehicle Operation Instructors Course. Jeff has been part of our school from the very beginning — starting as a behind-the-wheel instructor, then stepping into a management role in April 2006. Today, he focuses on advancing new driver training and exploring modern teaching methods. His mission is to move students well beyond the basics, helping them become more skilled, aware, and knowledgeable drivers.

  • New Driver Program

    The New Driver Program at Professional Driving Systems includes 24-hours of classroom instruction and 8 hours of Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) Training. Classroom instruction is taught with a hands-on, interactive approach. BTW Training incorporates additional exercises not required by the State and not offered by other driving schools in this area such as off-road recovery, braking exercises, and evasive maneuvering.

  • Skid Control Training

    Training drivers to be proactive is what we believe in and is the key to reducing tragic outcomes. PDS is proud to be the only driver training facility in Southwest Ohio to offer skid avoidance and control training. The training sessions are held on select Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.

  • Adult & Additional Training

    Customized behind the wheel (BTW) PDS students or anyone with an Ohio driver's license can purchase completely customized behind the wheel (BTW) training. Min 2 hours.

  • ​Advanced Juvenile Driver Improvement Program (AJDIP)

    ​This program is certified to be used by courts for teen traffic offenders. The Advanced Juvenile Driver Improvement Program (AJDIP) is designed to assist new drivers enhance their basic driving skills. The program consists of two hours classroom and four hours of driving.
