Driver Educaiton Course
The Driver Education Course, by state law, consists of twenty-four (24) hours of classroom instruction and eight (8) hours of practical (behind the wheel) instruction. The conduct of the course is regulated by the Ohio State Patrol. As such, the driving school is not allowed to give more than four (4) hours of instruction (of any kind) to any student in a twenty-four (24) hour period. The student comes to our office-classroom for the classroom sessions, but Bick's will pick them up at home, school, etc. for the driving sessions, if they live in the greater Middletown area. If they do not live in our service area, they must come to the office or to a mutually agreed upon place for the driving sessions. The classroom sessions do not have to be taken "in a row". The student may take them at anytime that is convenient for them. This means that they may start anytime the classroom session is being offered not just on a certain day such as Monday. No appointment is necessary for the regularly scheduled classes.
