Gateway Driving Center

Our 5-hour pre-licensing course will teach you everything you need to know about the rules of the road and helpful tips and techniques to keep you and other drivers safe. No reservation is necessary to take our pre-licensing course. Just bring your New York State Learners Permit and $50 dollars to 131 Mohawk Ave in Scotia, NY. If you are paying at the time of service, please bring cash only. The original certificate obtained at this course MUST be taken to the road test. Note If the applicant is 16 or 17, they must also bring form MV-262 to the road test, which is the Certification of 50 Hours of Supervised Driving, signed by the parent or guardian.

If you need to take the Point & Insurance Reduction Test, come to Gateway Driving Center. This defensive driving course can refresh your driving knowledge and can cover up to 4 points obtained in the previous 18 months on your driving record. You will also receive a 10% insurance discount from your base rate collision and liability each year for 3 years for any car assigned to you as principle driver. Reservations are highly recommended.
