Roger's School Of Driving
Overview
Roger was born and raised in Thiells and attended North Rockland schools throughout his youth. After high school, he studied at St. Thomas Aquinas College before earning his B.S.B.A. from SUNY New Paltz. While still in college, Roger began working as a driving instructor. His dedication quickly earned him a strong reputation in the community, paving the way for him to open his own driving school.
“I started teaching teenagers—and adults—how to drive while I was still a student. I still enjoy the challenge of preparing every individual for the State Road Test. Today’s young drivers juggle so much that it’s easy for them and their parents to forget how crucial it is to build safe habits behind the wheel,” Roger explains. “Years ago, I discussed the biggest risks facing teen drivers during a local radio interview. While traditional dangers like speeding and impaired driving remain serious, distractions have become a major modern threat. New drivers must learn to recognize these hazards and understand exactly how to avoid them. As a parent, I know how vital it is to keep my child safe, and I truly believe nothing prepares young drivers better than professional training.”
Roger continues to live in the North Rockland area with his wife, Carrie, who serves as a high school assistant principal, their daughter Sarina Anne, and their cat, Luna. He also fondly remembers his dog Titan, who recently passed away. Outside of work, Roger enjoys traveling, photography, playing chess, and staying active through various sports and outdoor adventures.
