McGinnis School of Driving

McGinnis Driver Safety Centers™ has been a trusted part of New Mexico since 1964. Founded by Wyett McGinnis, the school is now guided by three generations of the McGinnis family. Today, David W. McGinnis, MDEI, LMDIE — owner and president of Driving Success, Inc., doing business as McGinnis Driver Safety Centers™ — leads the team, carrying forward over 42 years of hands-on experience in driver education. His son, Ryan McGinnis, has been teaching since 2005 and is dedicated to continuing the philosophy and expertise his grandfather and father built, with a goal of serving the community for another 50 years. David regularly attends and conducts continuing education courses across all 50 states, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Driving schools nationwide also call on him as a consultant. The depth of knowledge and skill that David and Ryan bring to the classroom is what truly sets our school apart in the Land of Enchantment. Students who attend David’s lectures or meet him personally consistently describe him as outstanding, both personally and professionally. His public speaking and teaching ability leave a lasting impression — just ask anyone who has experienced his instruction. McGinnis Driver Safety Centers™ remains the benchmark for driver education. We proudly stand as “The Oldest, Largest and Finest.” Between the McGinnis family and our dedicated instructors, we offer more than 280 years of combined experience in driver education and community service. Many of our instructors have been with us for over 20 years, and all of them are also teachers and coaches at local public and private schools. We take the anxiety out of learning to drive. Every instructor is certified through McGinnis Driver Safety Centers, thoroughly trained in all facets of driver education, and certified by the NMDOT. Our training program and professionalism have always been our foundation, and our reputation is recognized across the United States.
