Callahan Driving School and Testing Center

Callahan Driving School was founded in 2011 by Bryan Callahan, who began teaching driver education for the Bethlehem Area School District in 1994. When state funding cuts forced many districts to drop their programs, students and families still needed reliable training. Recognizing this gap, Bryan officially opened Callahan Driving School to provide accessible, high-quality instruction.

Since opening, the business has grown through proven teaching techniques and a calm, stress-free learning environment. This student-focused approach has built a loyal following, with many satisfied graduates returning to enroll their own teenagers once they turn 16.

In 2018, lengthy backlogs at state DMV testing centers left applicants waiting months for road tests. That same year, Pennsylvania authorized PennDOT to approve and regulate third-party testing centers. This change gives students shorter wait times and more convenient access to earn their driver's licenses.
