Overview
All our driving instructors are direct Seville employees—never outside contractors. Each holds a valid New Jersey State Instructor’s License, has completed a state-approved defensive driving program, and brings at least 11 years of driving experience. We prioritize your peace of mind by conducting comprehensive federal, state, and FBI background checks, ensuring every instructor has a completely clean criminal record. Additionally, all instructors are non-smokers, and we will provide your child’s instructor’s name and direct cell phone number for any emergencies.

16 Year Olds State Approved 6-Hour GDL Program
The Graduated Driver License (GDL) is a process that all teens must complete to get an unrestricted basic driver license. The New Jersey GDL law was effective January 1, 2001. A GDL law has been shown to reduce driving fatalities among teens and their passengers. With more experience, teen drivers are more capable of handling different types of driving situations. If interested, call for pricing. We will then forward a permit application to you. When you have completed the application and are in possession of the required documents, such as original birth certificate from vital statistics or passport, plus score card from school indicating student has passed the NJMVC written test, please call this office for an appointment. We will then be able to purchase the permit from NJMVC and schedule road training.

Defensive Driving and 2 Point Reduction Course
The State of New Jersey regulates that the defensive driving class may be taken once every three years for insurance reduction and once every five years for point reduction. Points are only removed from a MVC driving record. An insurance company can surcharge points for a total of 39 months, even if they have been removed from the MVC record. Point reductions become effective at the end of the 6-hour class, but may take up to 3 months to appear on driver’s abstract. The standard rate of reduction is 5% off the comprehensive portion of the insurance only, which will be reduced for a period of three (3) years, but it could possibly be more depending on your insurance company.
