Garden State Driving School

Founded in 1978, Garden State Driving School has always been guided by a simple mission: making New Jersey roads safer, one driver at a time. We’re a full-service driving school, supporting you from your first permit all the way to your driver’s license. Our instructors are dedicated to teaching safe, defensive driving habits that last. Because quality time behind the wheel matters, we design every lesson to be both a valuable learning experience and genuinely enjoyable. The school’s owner is a certified driver education teacher and a National Safety Council Instructor, continuously passing new ideas and techniques on to our team. Every instructor is also state-licensed—meaning they’ve passed written, road, and vision tests—and has been fingerprinted, with those prints cleared through the state police.
