    A Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required by all truck drivers who are operating a certain sized truck across state lines. If you're driving a truck with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, a Class A CDL license is mandatory by law. In order to receive your CDL, you must complete both classroom hours as well as supervised driving hours.
