Cary Driving Academy

Cary Driving Academy, in Preston Corners, Cary, NC, serves teen and adult drivers from Cary, Raleigh, Durham, and nearby communities. We’re built on a commitment to ethics and education, offering an in-depth program that develops respectful, safe, and confident drivers.

Classes take place in a spacious, well-lit, and comfortable classroom equipped with multimedia tools, up-to-date textbooks, and review materials. The teaching style is participatory, inclusive, and hands-on. Learning is fun and thorough—covering driving techniques and laws, but also the real-world “actions and consequences” of being behind the wheel.

Behind-the-wheel training happens in clean, NC DMV-inspected vehicles. Every car is fitted with a dual brake, an instructor rearview mirror, a GoPro camera, and blind-spot mirrors to support new drivers. Clear “student driver” signage helps other motorists notice and accommodate our cars on the road.

Cary Driving Academy is owned and operated by Melodie Bagg, a Cedarville University graduate who turned a psychology and education degree into a 20+ year career in upper management focused on training and coaching. Along with her professional background, her volunteer work with organizations like the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Wake County Foster Care, Duke Children’s Hospital, Special Olympics, Upward Basketball, and Awana Cubbies has given her a wealth of experience connecting with diverse personalities and skill levels. As our lead driving coach, Melodie is an intuitive communicator and motivator who builds rapport with students of all ages. She measures her success by helping others succeed.
