Able Testing Company was founded in 1995 by Sheriff Douglass Harvey, and we’re still a family-owned and operated business. Today, Robert Harvey – Douglass’ son – leads the company alongside his son Halley and long-time friend John, who has been with Able Testing since day one. We’re a state-certified testing facility that follows every Michigan guideline to help you earn your driver’s license. We offer road tests for first-time drivers, including teens fresh out of driver’s ed and adults getting their license for the first time. We also provide testing for all commercial vehicles (CDL) and motorcycle licenses. We know taking a driving test can be stressful. While we take our work seriously, we also understand that a little warmth goes a long way. Count on us for friendly, fair service – we’ll make sure you feel comfortable and at ease before you start your exam. We test for every license class in Michigan: car/auto, motorcycle, and all CDL licenses.
