Courtesy Driving School has been family-owned and operated since 1970, helping new drivers build skills and confidence for more than five decades. Our mission is to provide thorough, professionally developed driver’s education that gives every student a solid understanding of the rules of the road and plenty of hands-on practice behind the wheel.
We hire only the best instructors—each one is certified in Driver’s Education by the State of Michigan and has passed an FBI background check and physical exam. Our teachers are professional, caring, and experienced at giving students the personal attention they need to develop safe driving habits. We’re committed to making driver’s education a positive, successful experience for every student.

Training Programs

Segment I for Teens
Segment I includes 24 hours of classroom instruction, 6 hours behind the wheel, and 4 hours observation in a dual controlled automobile.
Segment II for Teens
Segment II includes 6 hours of classroom instruction. This session focuses on defensive driving and preparation for the road test.
Road Testing
Courtesy Driving School offers automobile and motorcycle road testing. The automobile driving skills test will consist of two parts - a basic control skills test and an on-road driving test.
Adult & Teen Private Lessons
Our private lessons specialize in teaching nervous adults and teens who hold a current permit.
