Overview

Our goal is to serve the West Michigan community by preparing students to become safe, conscientious drivers. We create a supportive learning environment where students build a positive attitude toward others and gain real confidence behind the wheel. Our talented instructors bring humor, deep insight, and steady encouragement, teaching the practical skills essential for safe driving through classroom sessions, on-the-road drives, and range practice. We’re committed to supporting parents and teens alike in every aspect of road safety. We warmly welcome your questions, ideas, comments, and suggestions. Rob Ockerse holds a Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in Education from Grand Valley State University. After retiring from Zeeland Public Schools in 2014, he continued his passion for driver education, having taught or directed programs in Zeeland, Holland, Jenison, and Hamilton since 1990. Cherie Ockerse earned a Bachelor of Science in Business with a marketing major from Central Michigan University and has refined her administrative expertise through retail store management, business-to-business marketing in local manufacturing, and detailed management support for her husband.
