Overview

Ready 2 Drive is a family-operated driving school founded by Jason Tillman. Since 1992, Jason has worked for Anne Arundel County Public Schools and is currently earning his Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College. He runs the business alongside his wife, Danielle, and their seven children—Briana, Alyssa, Caira, Joshua, Logan, Alana, and Grayson. Jason’s vision is that one day his children will carry on the tradition of teaching teenagers and community members to drive safely. Dedicated to helping people become skilled, licensed drivers, our philosophy centers on building meaningful relationships with students and their families in the communities we serve. Our mission is to teach new drivers proper driving techniques, a solid understanding of the rules of the road, and the habits of safe, responsible driving.

Training Programs

  • Driver Education Program

    The Basic Driver’s Ed package offers 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours behind the wheel instruction. Classroom topics include basic driving techniques, defensive driving, rules of the road, adverse effects of alcohol, and driving in various environments (via website).

  • Private Lessons

    We offer private lessons to both teen and adult students.

  • Safe and Sober: The safe and Sober Program previously known

    or currently possess a driver's license from U.S. Armed forces only (via website).

  • MVA Test

    Use the driving school's vehicle to take your test at the MVA. Practice with a certified instructor just before you take the test. The package includes the use of the car and 3 hours of instructor's time (via website).
