AA Driving Academy

Since opening in 1994, AA Driving Academy has had one clear mission: to teach safe, responsible, and accountable driving. To date, we have successfully trained, licensed, and improved the skills of 70,000 student drivers. We offer a complete range of services tailored to your driving needs. By combining hands-on behind-the-wheel practice with thorough classroom instruction, we focus on defensive, collision-free driving techniques. This balanced approach gives students a strong foundation and a clear understanding of traffic laws and road safety. Our programs include driver education, behind-the-wheel training, driver improvement courses, instruction for reckless or aggressive driving, and re-examination preparation. Our instructors bring extensive expertise to the classroom and the road. Many are active or retired law enforcement officers with deep experience in traffic enforcement, emergency driving, collision investigation, and traffic court proceedings. Every instructor holds a college degree, possesses years of professional teaching experience, and has completed specialized collegiate-level training in driver education. All instructors are licensed by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, certified by the American Automobile Association and the National Safety Council, and undergo annual FBI background checks and DMV driving record audits.
