AA Driving Academy

Since opening in 1994, AA Driving Academy has pursued a single mission: to teach you safe, responsible, and accountable driving. To date, we have successfully trained, licensed, and improved the driving skills of 70,000 graduates. We offer a complete range of services tailored to your driving needs. Our program pairs comprehensive classroom instruction with practical, behind-the-wheel training. This balanced approach helps you master defensive, collision-free driving techniques while building a strong foundation in road rules and traffic regulations. We provide behind-the-wheel training, driver improvement programs, reckless/aggressive driving courses, standard driver education, and re-examination preparation. Our instructors bring decades of real-world expertise to the classroom. Many are active and retired law enforcement officers with extensive backgrounds in traffic law enforcement, emergency response driving, collision investigation, and traffic court proceedings. Every instructor is a college-educated professional with years of teaching experience and specialized collegiate training in driver education. All are licensed as Driver Training Instructors by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and hold certifications from the American Automobile Association and the National Safety Council. For your peace of mind, every instructor undergoes annual FBI background checks and DMV driving record audits.
