Allegany Driving School

Since our founding in Cumberland in 1997, Allegany Driving School has provided trusted driver safety programs across Maryland. We have grown into a multi-county operation that trains nearly 3,000 new drivers annually with a team of more than 25 licensed, professional instructors. We are committed to making driver education accessible to everyone. Our specialized training includes vehicles equipped with hand controls or left-foot accelerators, as well as courses tailored for older adults. Every training car features dual brakes and mirrors, and all vehicles pass annual Maryland state inspections. We believe great instruction starts with a dedicated team. That’s why all of our instructors complete ongoing professional development and undergo comprehensive criminal background checks every two years.
