Allegany Driving School

Since 1997, Allegany Driving School has provided trusted driver safety programs throughout Maryland. Originally founded in Cumberland, we have expanded into a multi-county operation that trains nearly 3,000 new drivers each year with a team of over 25 licensed, professional instructors. We are committed to making driver education accessible to everyone, offering specialized training for students with unique needs. This includes instruction with vehicle hand controls and left-foot accelerators, as well as courses tailored for drivers with age-related concerns. Safety remains our top priority: every training vehicle features dual brakes and mirrors, and all cars undergo annual Maryland state inspections. At Allegany Driving School, we believe a driving program is only as strong as its teachers. That is why every instructor on our team participates in ongoing professional development and completes a criminal background check every two years.
