Overview

Since 1994, AA Driving Academy has been dedicated to teaching safe, responsible, and accountable driving. To date, we’ve trained and licensed over 70,000 student drivers. We offer a range of services to meet your driving needs, specializing in collision-free, defensive driving techniques grounded in solid classroom theory. Our programs include behind-the-wheel training, driver improvement courses, reckless/aggressive driving courses, driver education, and re-examination preparation. What truly sets us apart is our instructors. Some are active or retired police officers with extensive experience in traffic law enforcement, emergency driving, collision investigation, and traffic court. Every instructor brings years of teaching experience, professional training, and a college education, along with advanced collegiate-level coursework in driver education. All are licensed by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, certified by the American Automobile Association and the National Safety Council, and undergo annual FBI background checks and DMV driving record audits. AA Driving Academy is fully licensed, certified, insured, and bonded—giving you confidence in every lesson.

Driver training schools follow course content approved by VA Department of Education and are licensed by VA DMV. The curriculum includes components about alcohol safety, drug abuse awareness, aggressive driving, distracted driving, driving emergencies, pedestrian & bicycle safety, motorcycle awareness, organ donation awareness and auto insurance info, etc.
