Overview

Streetwise Cycle School is committed to providing the highest-quality motorcycle training in Massachusetts. That dedication has helped over 15,000 students earn their motorcycle license from the RMV by completing our Basic, Experienced, or Returning Rider Course. We offer lessons for riders of all skill levels. In addition to two-wheeled motorcycle classes, we provide three-wheel courses for Can-Am Spyders, sidecars, and trikes. Our school locations are convenient for riders in Boston, Metro West (including Framingham), and the South Shore (including Brockton, Taunton, and Cape Cod). All sites are easy to reach from major highways 495, 24, and Route 1, and public transportation is available via MBTA shuttle service and the Boston–Raynham bus service.

  • Basic Rider Course (BRC)

Tuition $329 on one of our training motorcycles or $364 on one of our automatic motorcycles (Due to the limited availability of automatic motorcycles in our fleet, you must contact us in advance letting us know that you would like to have an automatic motorcycle made available to you. We will send a $35 electronic invoice to your email for the additional cost). The Basic Rider Course is the best place to start once you’ve made the decision to ride. Covers the basics of operating a motorcycle and safety-oriented mental strategies. Designed for the student with little or no riding experience. The only prerequisite is that you can ride a pedal bicycle and that you have a driver’s license or permit. Motorcycles (250cc or less) are provided at no additional charge. If you do not own a helmet, you can borrow one from us. Successful completion of this course (consisting of five hours of formal classroom activities and ten hours of on-cycle hands on instruction conducted over two days, plus passing the Knowledge Test and the Skill Evaluation) will waive the need for a RMV Motorcycle Road Test.
