Owned and operated by David and Karen Currier, Mr. K’s Auto School has been in business for over 45 years. We offer a fun, affordable, and interactive Driver’s Ed program that includes:

Classroom Instruction – Each student must complete and pass a mandatory 30-hour course covering traffic laws, road rules, and driving fundamentals. Our engaging sessions, led by RMV-certified instructors, also teach practical skills like changing a tire and handling roadside emergencies.

Driving Lessons – 12 hours of hands-on training with David, Karen, or other Massachusetts RMV-certified instructors. We gladly work around your schedule.

Observation – 6 hours of supervised driving experience.

Impaired Driving Education – Students attend our nationally recognized, award-winning program on the dangers of drug and alcohol impairment. Originally developed at Mr. K’s Auto School and expanded into a comprehensive public awareness campaign, this interactive course features “Fatal Vision” goggles, field sobriety test demonstrations, and engaging presentations.

Mandatory Parent Night – A two-hour RMV-required session explaining common reasons for license suspensions, strategies to help prevent them, and practical resources to support safe driving at home. The evening includes an open Q&A with our instructors.

State Age Requirements & Scheduling – Massachusetts law requires students to be at least 15 years and 9 months old to begin classroom instruction, and 16 years old to receive a learner’s permit and start driving lessons.
