Overview

Founded by John E. Cuthbert, Berkeley Auto quickly became a popular driving school for new drivers in the Greater Lawrence area. The school was first established on Berkeley Street in Lawrence, MA, where John helped transform the community by creating safer drivers and guiding students to their licenses. In 1990, John retired and passed the legacy to Charleen and Rolando Suliveras, the current owners. Charleen started as a secretary in 1982 and worked her way toward earning her driving instructor license. Impressed by her natural teaching ability, Rolando joined in 1986, teaching part-time before stepping into a full-time role. Charleen grew up in Tower Hill and knows the ins and outs of driver education. From teenagers to adults, Berkeley Auto School has put countless students on the road after they pass their licensing exam.
