Teens Safety & Alert Court School

30 Hours classroom portion. Students who want to enroll in the 30 hours classroom students age are required to be at lease 14 years and 9 months and in the 9th grade(at a minimum) to take classroom portion only. However to complete the 8 hours behind the wheel driving, the student must be at lease 15 years of age. For those students who do not meet the age requirement for the driving portion we will make arrangements and schedule those students for their driving portion.

Introduction to Driving Vehicle Components & Operations Perception & Risk Managment Traffic Laws Driver Behavior Sharing the Road Attention on the Road Respect and Responsibility Defensive Driving DVD'S, Activies, Quizzes & a Final Test Pertaining to All Topices Refer to Classroom Schedule for scheduling Pre-licensing Classroom Instruction Consist Of Students will first complete the 6 hour classroom instruction, followed by the 8 hours of driving instruction (behind-the-wheel). once the 6 hour pre-licensing course is completed, the student (upon passing) 80% of classroom instruction and 70% of driving student will receive a "Certificate of Completion".

COURSE CONSISTS OF: Signs, Signals & Pavement Markings Defensive Driving Techniques and Characteristics Following Distances Safety Tips on Passing Hydroplaning Seat Belts Night Driving Sharing the Road Keeping a Space Cushion/Space Management Distracted Driving Driving Offenses Driving Hazards and Emergencies This includes but is not limited to DVD’s, Classroom Activities, quizzes and a Final Test. Student must score at least an 80% to pass the class. After successfully completing the class the student will be given a Certificate of Successful Completion.
