Overview

Diesel Driving Academy was founded in June 1972 by Abe Busada and M.B. Chastain in Shreveport, Louisiana. Training originally took place on an airstrip in DeSoto Parish near Mansfield, starting with just one truck and trailer but growing quickly. Students from across the state, especially the Baton Rouge area, soon began traveling to Shreveport for CDL training. With this success, a second campus opened in Baton Rouge in July 1987. A third location followed in Jacksonville, Arkansas, just north of Little Rock, and was later moved to its current Little Rock site in April 2009.
