Excel Driving Academy

Founded in June 2019 under the direction of Geneva Jones Burrell, Excel Driving Academy (EDA) is a locally owned and operated company. Drawing on Burrell’s background as a former insurance claims specialist and state teen driver provider, EDA has grown into Cenla’s top-rated driving academy. We train students in late-model, dual-controlled vehicles to ensure a safe and structured learning experience.

As a state-licensed facility located at 3900 Sterkx Rd., Suite F in Alexandria, Louisiana, we take pride in teaching the practical skills and techniques that help new drivers navigate the road safely and confidently.

Our instructors are patient, supportive, and thoroughly familiar with state traffic laws and highway regulations. Each instructor holds both state driving certification and a background as a licensed classroom teacher. Our goal is to help every student develop lifelong habits for safe, effective driving.
