Jeff's Driving School

Owners Jeff and Gayla Tussey believe they hold “the key to defensive driving.” Based in Blue Ash, Jeff’s Driving School has been teaching proper driving skills since 1999. The owner and most instructors bring more than ten years of experience, and the team succeeds by being, as Jeff puts it, “customer friendly and because we care.” Instructors stay current through ongoing training sent from the front office by e‑mail. “Working one‑on‑one with our clients, we apply their classroom lessons in a practical setting behind the wheel,” Jeff says. “Individual attention from instructor to student relieves two key issues: intimidation and distraction. In a car full of people, it’s easy to get distracted, and that takes away from learning.” One‑on‑one instruction also protects privacy because not everyone wants classmates to know where they live. The Ohio‑state‑licensed course includes twenty‑four hours of classroom instruction and eight hours of in‑car driving lessons. A new, state‑of‑the‑art interactive computer program is in its final stages of development. Once completed, students receive a Certificate of Completion—required for obtaining a license and often qualifying for an auto insurance discount.
