Bluegrass CDL Academy LLC

Bluegrass CDL Academy is conveniently located just off Rockwell Road in Winchester, Kentucky—the closest school for residents of Fayette and Scott counties, the area’s two largest. Our setting is perfect for teaching city driving maneuvers and over-the-road skills. The training range is a spacious two-acre lot right next to our 4,000-square-foot facility, where our classroom is located. Inside, digital media drives instruction from permit test preparation all the way to the final exam. We’re here to help you succeed.

Susan and John McNeel founded Bluegrass CDL Academy in March 2016 with a clear vision: to create a unique learning experience centered on premier one-on-one instruction. Together they bring more than 35 years of combined trucking industry experience, and they know what it takes to build a strong career.

John has been in freight operations since 2004, holding roles from operations trainer to terminal manager. His focus now is growing Bluegrass CDL Academy into the largest commercial driving school in the region. Susan joined the freight industry in 1995. While her core expertise is account management, she has also served as a pricing analyst and contributed to many project teams. Together, they built the academy on the premise of a better learning experience.
