Overview

Behind The Wheel is a full-service driver education provider serving roughly 2,000 students each year across eight counties in southern Indiana. Our program and instructors are fully accredited by the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Every instructor completes rigorous certification, including thorough background checks and physical exams. Indiana residents age 15 and older can begin with our convenient online course. After finishing the online portion, students receive personalized, one-on-one driving lessons in our fully insured vehicles. To make scheduling easier for families, instructors pick up students directly from home or school for each session. Learners who complete the full program and meet the state’s required passing average are also eligible to schedule their official road test through us.

  • Paid In Full

    Includes Indiana-accredited online course, BMV-required permit paperwork, 6 hours of driving and the final drive (road) test.

    $429

  • Payment Plan

    Includes Indiana-accredited online course and BMV-required permit paperwork only; six hour of drive sessions with professional instructors in our fully-insured vehicles may be added for $300; and the final drive (road) test may be added for $35. You are welcome to make payments on these additional services while the student is completing the online course but must be paid in full for the drive sessions before scheduling them.

  • Drives and Drive Test (Only for alternate coursework completed students)

    Available ONLY to students that have completed an alternate Indiana-accredited online course or classroom; the Certificate of Completion is required upon enrollment with Behind The Wheel. This program includes the BMV-required permit paperwork, six hours of driving with professional instructors in our fully insured vehicles, and the final drive (road) test.
