Founded in Rock Island, Illinois, JBS is a family-owned and operated business run by the Johannes Family. What began with a handshake agreement and a single school bus driven by founder Harry “Red” Johannes has grown into a trusted transportation partner serving three area school districts. Today, our team of over 125 employees operates a diverse fleet that includes full-size school buses, special needs vehicles, and charter coaches. For more than 40 years, Johannes Bus Service has safely transported thousands of Quad Citizens throughout the Illinois Quad-Cities. We provide contracted school bus routes for public, private, and government organizations, charter services for groups using school buses or coach buses, and specialized transportation for passengers with special needs.
