A-Adams School of Driving

The Advantage Plus Program includes 8 hours of all private lessons (no need to do any observation) The Classic Experience includes 12 hours of all private lessons. All programs earn state certification and meet all high school graduation requirements. We also offer 25 and 50 hours behind-the-wheel programs. We have programs for those teens that need to take only the behind-the-wheel or class. Program bundles driving and classroom available.

Driving is a complex psycho-motor skill and can be challenging for a student with ADHD. So, to get more value from the classroom, if possible, the student can take their first driving lesson while still taking the class. The classroom information is still fresh in their minds which helps them relate it to what they are doing on their lesson. And an additional benefit Our teachers have noted that ALL students who have taken their first lesson have an easier time taking their quizzes in the classroom. Because statistically, ADHD drivers are shown to have poor driving records, we provide parents with specific Professional Training Techniques that can be used by parents, to help keep their son/daughter "in the present moment". Even the Secretary of State suggests the parents use this effective technique even before driving lessons begin! (teachers also may use this technique on the driving lessons)

Students 18-20 must have completed a 6 hour adult driver education course if they did not take driver ed in high school. We offer these classes at several of our locations and online. For driving, all adults will receive private driving instruction based on their own personal needs. Lessons are given in an Adams vehicle, which is dual-controlled and safety inspected weekly. Adams' instructors are full-time professionals who are very patient and very understanding. And we offer free pick up and drop off for all behind-the-wheel lessons.There are no contracts to sign. Students are under no obligation to take any certain number of lessons. They take only the number of lessons they personally need to become safe and confident drivers. And, when ready, the student will take the road test in the same car in which they were trained. No permit? Ask about our affordable permit package which includes a trip to the Secretary of State to get your permit and 6 hours of instruction. Various packages available.
