Drivers Education Courses for students ages 15-17.

To drive legally in Illinois, you must have a valid driver’s license, instruction permit, Restricted Driving Permit or Judicial Driving Permit. The first step to getting you behind the wheel in the State of Illinois is to obtain an instruction permit. To receive an Illinois instruction permit, individuals must appear in person at a driver services facility (you can find the closest facility here ( ) and provide acceptable form of identification to prove name, date of birth, Illinois residency, Social Security number and signature for comparison. When you apply for your instruction permit, you must pass the vision screening and the appropriate written test for the classification you are seeking. The instruction permit is valid for 12 months and must be carry at all time during your driving classes.

The six hour course is composed of classroom time only. It does not include, and is not required to include, any behind-the-wheel training. After completing the 6 Hour Adult Driver Education program and passing your final test, you will receive an e-mail from the Secretary of State at the e-mail address you provided to our school. This e-mail will include an attachment with your Certificate of Completion. Once you have printed the certificate, bring your certificate to the nearest Secretary of State Facility with your other required identification documents and complete the remaining requirements.
