We’re committed to giving you the most current and thorough driver’s training available. You’ll learn the skills to drive safely for a lifetime. Our classes are online, giving you the flexibility to study at your own pace, on your own schedule. We use the AAA How to Drive online course, a nationally recognized program certified by the Idaho State Board of Driving Businesses and approved by the Idaho State Department of Education for use in public schools through the Idaho Digital Learning Academy. While you complete the online coursework, you’ll also schedule six driving sessions with your instructor. These take place weekdays after school and on Saturdays. Each two-hour session includes one hour behind the wheel and one hour observing a fellow student. After six sessions, you’ll meet the state’s mandatory six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction and six hours of in-car observation. Plus, i Drive University offers an optional manual transmission lesson. Once you’ve finished the required behind-the-wheel training, you can add a seventh hour dedicated entirely to learning to drive a stick shift.
