The idea for DRIVE509 took root while I was working for a food delivery company. Like a lot of folks, I started on the night shift as a warehouse picker. It wasn't my dream job, but it was a foot in the door and a paycheck to support my family. Over time, I worked my way into a driving role, delivering products throughout the Northwest, and eventually became a lead driver—training new hires and managing both drivers and customer relationships. After a decade with the company, I realized my real passion wasn't just driving; it was teaching others to drive. Training gave me a deep sense of satisfaction and purpose. It felt meaningful to help people land a job that would allow them to provide for their families, and to know I was putting skilled, quality CDL drivers on the road—professionals who keep this country moving. That clarity pushed me to take a leap of faith. I stepped out on my own to build a company focused entirely on delivering superior CDL training.
