Overview

National Safety Council, Nebraska began in 1924 as the Omaha Safety Council, when a group of business leaders saw that 75% of workplace accidents were preventable. Over the years, we’ve broadened our reach to serve the entire state and are now the only National Safety Council chapter in Nebraska. We’re a private, non-governmental, nonprofit 501 organization, guided by a volunteer board of directors and a team of highly trained industry experts and instructors. Our mission is to be Nebraska’s top resource for education and advocacy that reduce injuries and save lives—at work, at home, and on the road.
