Georgia Driving School
Training families since 1973
Overview
Georgia Driving School Inc is located at 3252 Vineville Ave., Macon, GA 31204. We’ve been licensed by the Georgia Department of Driver Services since 1973. Whatever your driving education needs, we have a class for you — including DUI & Risk Reduction, Defensive Driving, and both Joshua’s Law and behind-the-wheel driver’s education courses. Our school is a family-run business now spanning three generations. It was founded in 1964 by David Jett, who began his career when driving was a far simpler experience. Back then, seat belts were optional, airbags hadn’t been invented, and terms like “anti-lock brakes” weren’t part of everyday language. The interstate highway system wasn’t even finished, and two-lane roads were the standard. Today’s driving environment is completely different. We now face distractions from cell phones and wireless devices, aggressive driving, road rage, drug and alcohol impairment, along with heavier traffic and constant construction — challenges that barely existed just a decade ago. At Georgia Driving School Inc, our mission remains the same: to deliver professional driver training programs for drivers of all ages.

DUI & Risk Reduction
You’ve been pulled over and arrested for a DUI or substance abuse charge. Fortunately, you didn’t crash, damage property or hurt anyone. Going through a DUI or drug charge is a nerve racking experience. It’s even worse when you do not understand what is going on with your case and what will be happening to you. There is no need to go through the process confused and misinformed. Gaining a simple general understanding of the process will help alleviate anxiety and empower you to make or feel better about decisions in your case. Here at Georgia Driving School, our job is to be the first step in helping you solve this costly mistake.

Clinical Evaluations
A Clinical Evaluation is required by Georgia Law for anyone who has had two or more DUIs, and may be required for a first DUI at the judge’s discretion. The evaluation is a one-time interview which takes approximately one hour. It should be scheduled upon completion of the risk reduction program (DUI School). The purpose is to determine whether additional services are warranted. The evaluator is required to make a recommendation which may be for additional education or treatment, or in some cases, for no additional services. The recommendation will be fully explained to you at completion of the evaluation. While you may choose any evaluator from the state register, for your convenience, Georgia Driving School has a Registered Clinical Evaluator onsite.
