At Southern Defensive Driving, we’re dedicated to building a supportive learning environment and making our roads safer. We’re members of ADTSEA and GARDE, but above all, we’re members of your community. We are fully licensed, bonded, and insured.
Southern Defensive Driving School was founded by Brad Miller, who recognized a real need for a local driving school to serve our community’s teen drivers. The school opened in June 2007 to help students meet Joshua Law requirements, added defensive driving instruction in June 2008, and began offering DUI classes in December 2008. Brad spent many years in sales with a local company before opening the school. He is a member of Rockmart Lodge #97 and serves as the primary on-the-road instructor. He attended Coosa Valley Tech and Floyd College and has over 30 years of driving experience. Brad is also an active member of Victory Baptist Church.

Teen Driving
Option 1 - Qualifies for Insurance Reduction 30/6 This program is the recommended option designed to teach new drivers fundamental skills and basic knowledge about driving a motor vehicle. The program consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. Young drivers may qualify for a driver's license, but they're still learning to drive. They tend to overestimate their abilities behind the wheel.
